Apply Now for Fall 2024
Becoming a pastor or church leader is one of life’s highest callings. An extraordinary level of preparation is needed to serve Chris’ts church with the excellence worthy of the King of kings. Of course, it requires a passion for Christ and His Church and a love of God’s people and the lost. But it also requires theological clarity, skill to pastor God’s flock, biblical wisdom, and deep devotion to God’s Word rightly handled, faithfully interpreted, and boldly applied. To refine your gifts and acquire the tools necessary for a fruitful ministry, join us this fall at Reformed Evangelical Seminary.
If you desire to serve Christ’s Church and His Kingdom as a well-prepared pastor, evangelist, missionary, church officer, or teacher, and you’ve discussed this interest with your pastors and elders, and they agree that your interest fits well with your various gifts and callings, then consider applying to Reformed Evangelical Seminary this summer. The Seminary’s offers three programs this coming academic year to pursue your goals. New student orientation and jumpstart classes in Hebrew and theological research and writing start in August. Regular classes begin in early September.
The Seminary is rooted in the Reformed tradition and gratefully stands on the shoulders of our Protestant forefathers. Their recovery of much that had been lost from the Scriptures and the early Church and their passion to continually grow in theological wisdom, in the spirit of semper reformanda, inspire our vision for pastoral education. Our goal is to train pastors and church leaders to advance this Reformed heritage, by providing . . .
Biblical study that draws upon the Reformers’ passion for Biblical truth, while embracing the richness of pre-modern exegesis and recognizing recent advances in biblical study.
Systematic theology fed by the finest theological reflection from the Early Church, the Middle Ages, the Reformation, and post-Reformation eras, to the present day.
Worship that emphasizes preaching the whole counsel of God, learning from the greatest preachers in church history, while drawing on the importance of liturgy in renewing the people of God for cruciform lives of faithful service.
Pastoral counseling that reflects the Bible’s concern for the right formation of the whole person, and brings pastoral care back into the sphere God intended—the church. The modern world may have brought new and distinctive challenges, but biblical counseling emphasizes the ordinary means of grace, namely Word and Sacrament, that God has used to strengthen and to equip His people for millennia.
Ethical reflection that draws on all of Scripture, together with the best historical and contemporary ethical reflections and methods, and
Mission that reflects the Reformational commitment to long-term cultural transformation, within an optimistic Scriptural vision for the growth of Christ's kingdom to the ends of the earth.
